Extending Power BI into an Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) solution
Power BI is used in some capacity by 97% of the Fortune 500, and is rapidly becoming the standard BI tool for corporations. However, when used for performance management, particularly by the office of the CFO, it is missing some critical features. Fortunately, we've solved this problem.
480th is pioneering the implementation of a SaaS and software solution that extends the capabilities of the market-leading Microsoft Power BI platform. With this new solution, called Aimplan, organizations can seamless integrate planning, forecasting, budgeting and master data management directly inside Power BI. No expense 3rd party point solution required.
To do this we have partnered with a world class software development startup based in Sweden, who are building the Aimplan solution. Aimplan is a Microsoft ISV-partner, part of the Microsoft FoundersHub start-up program, financed by the founders plus venture-backed by Silicon Valley-based VC company Born Capital. We couldn't believe more strongly in their team, product and vision for the market. We formalized our partnership with Aimplan the moment they went live, and are an Elite Partner (the top tier) and the oldest partner in North America for them. Michael Parrott
I have spent over 15 years in FP&A, EPM, and Advanced Analytics as both a consultant and in the Fortune 100, working in North America, Europe and South America. Now, I am the CEO and Founder of 480th Consulting. We help companies change they way they go about planning, forecasting and reporting on financials.
At McKinsey & Company, I was an Associate Partner in Chicago and worked with their Quantum Black analytics skunkworks, Corporate Functions Service Line and Anaplan Performance Management partnership. At Anheuser Busch InBev, I sat in their global headquarters in New York and was part of their Zero Based Budgeting organization. I was responsible as cost category owner for technology and business services (>$250M of OpEx), as well as the corporate IT organization.
I'm an engineer by background, graduating with a MS in Materials Engineering from UCL in Belgium and BS in Mechanical Engineering from Northwestern University in Chicago.
Outside work, you'll find me cooking paella, being a father of two, and enjoying life in Iowa and Spain.
